Bamse's adventure so far...(2009823)

Distance travelled: 22946 km, 14257 miles

Bamse is currently having a family adventure! (What does this mean?)

Feejee!!

Town: Taweva

Coconut in that hammock.JPG

Bula!!
(means hello in Fijian)

I know I haven't been all over the world, but I am pretty sure that I have found the paradise on earth! Fiji is AMAZING!! =)

On the picture you see me with Hanna, enjoying a coconut in a hammock under a palmtree on Taweva Island. No need to complain as you see!! Lol!!

The people are the friendliest I have ever met and the scenery is so beatiful that I get amazed almost every day. The layout of the country is also very cool since it consists of a number of small islands spread in the ocean, looking like small sand dunes that someone dropped on the way. All these islands have picture perfect beaches, palm trees swaying in the wind, nice resorts, dance and music entertainment, lots of happy people and great food. The Fijian food is a lot fish, but also some vegetables and fruits that I have never seen or heard of before (not even Hanna has, and she has travelled a lot!).

So if you ever think of travelling: go to Fiji!! I promised you won't be dissapointed!!

See you next time!

A taste of New Zealand

Town: Auckland

Nya Zeelands flygplats.JPG

Hello friends!

If you have never visited New Zealand or a shop with Kiwi things, it is really time to do it because your missing out!! (yes, they acutally call things and people from New Zealand fro Kiwis, lol!!)
I do not know if I have told you before, but I am a big fan of dialects and accents, especially the different english accents. So for you all lucky people and teddies who has heard a Kiwi must understand how great it was for me to hear the Kiwi accent! It is definitely my new favourite!! =)

If you are brave and want a new experience, you have to try Vegemite! It looks delicious, just chocolate spread - but I promise you, it is nothing like it! Try it and find out!

Have a great time until next time, and then I will be on a small tropical island on the other side of Europe - soo cool! Lol!

Lots of love,

Bamse

Quick visit in Hong Kong

Town: Kong Kong

Hong Kong.JPG

Hi!!
Today I visited Hong Kong and it was really cool! I did not understand much of the signs with their wierd, but pretty nice alphabet. I wonder how long that would take to learn? ;)
Hmm, for the moment I think I am satisfied with english! Lol!

I was happily surprised over the low prices in Hong Kong. Everything look so flashy and expensive, so it was very very nice to realise that I good do a little shopping without getting broke.

The people were really nice and friendly to me and a lot of people wanted to know where I'm from, why I am in this part of the world and so on. Definately a place that I have to go back to some day!

Take care until next time!

Lots of love,
Bamse

tn_Bamse på piren =).JPG

Hello!!
After the adventures in Stockholm, I took the bus down to Jönköping which is a beatiful city by the lake Vättern. On the picture you see my at the pier, which is in the middle of the town! There was lots of great restaurants with an amazing view over the water!! I also find my new favourite spot there: the ice-cream shop! They had so many flavours that I had to go there at least ones a day to be able to try all the delicious flavours! Yummie!!
And just a stroll from my lovely ice-cream shop there was a beach! Not would you would expect in the middle of the city!! But it was great with lots of people sunbathing, swimming, playing volleyboll and so on! Jönköping is definately my type of town!!

But now its time for new adventures somewhere else in Sweden!! Where? You'll find out next time!!

Lots of love,
Bamse

Hello!!
I'm now in beatiful Sweden and its great!! My first stop was in Stocholm where i visited Hanna's friend Sofia. She took me on a sightseingtour around the town, showed me Djurgården's ferry (bottom right on the picture), told me all about Pippi Longstocking which is one of Swedens most famous children's book characters (top right on the picture). Pippi is an extremely strong girl and, has her own white horse with black dots, a monkey and always seem to find lots of funny adventures!!

On the picture to the left you see me, Hanna and a dragqueen at Stockholm Pride festival!! That was an amazing thing to see and I'm already looking forward to next year when I can meet all those funny, colorful and happy people again!!

Take care and hope to see you soon!!

Bamse in Kutna Hora!

Town: Kutna Hora

tn_DSCF1360.JPG

Hello!!
Right now I'm in a really small, but very cute town called Kutna Hora!! Its situated one hour from Prague and is a must see if you go to Czech!!
On the picture you see me in front of the Cathedral of St Barbara, one of many beatiful buildings in this town who is on UNESCO:s World Heritage list for its architecture. I also found a really scary church who is mostly made of human bones! Don't go there if you don't like scarymovies, becuase it felt like I jumped straight into one when I was there! But it was quite cool to see anyway!
Yesterday I visited the Silver mines! I'm glad that I'm not bigger than I am because in some places it was really really narrow and Hanna had to almost get down on her knees sometimes! Definately worth a visit! =)
Next time you here from me I'll probably be in Sweden!!
Take care!!
Lots of love, Bamse

Beatiful Prague!! :)

Town: Prague

tn_DSCF1342.JPG

Hellooo!
What a great summer I'm having!! After a couple of months in Holland, I'm now on holiday for a week in Czech!! On the photo you see me on the beatiful Charles Bridge in Prague! There were lots and lots of tourists, but it was great to see anyway! On the bridge I found many artists who can draw a beatiful portrait in just a few minutes! And you can buy photographs, hand-made jewellery and many other things!! Most of the time I just spent walking around looking on the old buildings, eating lots of good Czech food and drinking Czech beer ofcourse!! I like Prague a lot! :)
After Prague I will travel around Czech to visit Hanna's relatives and have a look around on the country side! Can't wait!! :)
Take care!!
Lots of love,
Bamse

Beer!! =)

Town: Amsterdam

DSCF1300.JPG

Hi again!
I just remembered that I had to show you a picture from the beer brewery that I went to in Amsterdam! It was sooo cool! On the picture you can see me, Hanna, her sister Ingrid and her boyfriend Andreas (all from Sweden). We learned how to make the beer from scratch and we even got to feel how it is to be beer when being produced! You'll understand if you go there!! Lol!!
Lots of love,
Bamse

Amsterdam!

Town: Amsterdam

DSCF1341.JPG

Hello!!
I have now been in Amsterdam and seen this wonderful city! They must love water, because there are canals everywhere! Very beatiful!! I went on a boattrip around  the city, visited a museum about the Second World War (which was very well done and touching), had lunch at Dam Square, went to a beer brewery and just quickly walk through a certain 'red' area of Amsterdam, if you know what I mean. It smelled pretty strange there, probably because they smoke a lot of green things there.. Anyway, even if the red area wasn't my favourite place in the world it was very interesting and fun to see, especially since it will disappear very soon!
To conclude, Amsterdam is a great city with a wonderful atmosphere! =)
See you next time!
lots of love,
Bamse

Schiphol airport!

Town: Amsterdam

tn_DSCF1200.jpg

Hey!!
I think I'm now the fourth bear to visit this metal man at Schiphol Airport?!! I just had to take a photo here since I've seen so many other who already been there!! =)
Now I'm in Amsterdam as you probably already guessed and I'm very excited to see all the cannels and other stuff here!!
Lots of love,

Greenwich!

Town: Greenwich

tn_DSCF1167.jpg

Hello again!!
My latest adventure was in Greenwich, where I saw the beatiful university and visited the huge park where the were lot of friendly squirrels! They even ate peanuts out of my hand, that was soo cool!! =)
I also went to Greenwich University where I saw the meridian and stood with one foot on each side of it! They also had millions of watches, big astronomic instruments and lots of intresting things to read! So that was great, I feel a little bit smarter now, haha!!
In Greenwich park I also saw a chinese couple who were exercising. Nothing wrong with that, if it wasn't for that the woman was filming the man while he was running slowly 5 meter, turn around, ran slowly back and kept doing that for a while! That looked really funny!!
Anyway, time to go! See you soon!! =)
Lots of love, Bamse

Very nice music!

Town: Ely

tn_DSCF1109.jpg

Hello!
After my visit in Brentwood I went to Ely to listen to some folkmusic. The people who where playing were really nice and Vicki even let me play the bagpipes with her on the stage! That was soooo cool!!
I never played any instrument before, but I really enjoyed playing the pipes! So I will definately try to play something else in the future! =)

Some people have asked me why I have an elk om my jumper, so I thought I'll explain it to you too! The girl (Hanna) that I've been travelling with a lot is from Sweden. Her cousin Vicki (yes, the same Vicki that I wrote about just before!) bought the jumper for me since I'll be going to Sweden in July and elks are very common there! Hanna told me that if I'm lucky I might get to see one in the wild!! Yay! =)

Take care!!
Lots of love, Bamse
